Research Interests

Recent research:
The body of work integrates education, technology, and social sciences to understand how higher education, youth development, and digital transformation interact with broader social systems in Latin America. Across studies, methods include institutional surveys, literature reviews, case studies, and mixed-method analyses to diagnose skill gaps (notably soft skills and health literacy), evaluate curricular and governance practices, and explore the role of digital tools (gamification, XR, learning analytics) in pedagogy and organizational change. Several publications address the Salesian educational project and university associations as living ecosystems for preventive pedagogy, interculturality, community linkage, and social impact, while others map environmental management, neurology education, and mental health concerns (e.g., exam anxiety, youth depression) within Latin American contexts. Collectively, the research highlights: (1) the need for competency-based curricula that embed soft skills and health literacy; (2) the effectiveness of digital transformation and BPM as conduits for organizational and educational reform; (3) the importance of preventive, inclusive pedagogy aligned with Salesian values; and (4) the role of stakeholder engagement (students, families, staff) in sustainable institutional development. Impact centers on actionable frameworks for curricular design, environmental and governance practices, and strategies to improve graduate employability, well-being, and equitable access to advanced education in Latin America.
