Recent research:
A cohesive investigation across advanced optical and wireless networks reveals a focus on high-capacity front-haul and fronthaul solutions for next-generation communications, with emphasis on 6G readiness, passive optical networks (PON), and ultra-dense WDM. The work synergistically combines RF/optical co-simulations and real-world validations to optimize bit error rate, EVM, receiver sensitivity, and power usage. It explores UFMC, GFDM, and LTE signals within RoF and NG-RAN contexts, and evaluates coherent versus direct detection, pre- and post-compensation for chromatic dispersion, and channel filtering effects. In parallel, the research extends to nanoantenna design at terahertz frequencies, graphene-based patch antennas, and impedance matching techniques, addressing ultra-high-frequency connectivity with high efficiency. A thread running through the publications is the application of MATLAB/OptSim simulations alongside empirical tests (e.g., USRP measurements, BER/EVM analyses) to establish practical, scalable configurations for ultra-fast, low-latency communications, while also incorporating machine learning perspectives for network optimization and smart optical networks. The collective impact lies in delivering validated design guidelines and performance benchmarks for 6G-ready access/fiber networks, advanced PON architectures, and intelligent network management strategies.
