Research Interests

Recent research:
Across a broad portfolio of works, the researcher advances education technology, pedagogical innovation, and the integration of artificial intelligence and digital tools in higher education. The abstracts reveal a focus on how ICT, AI, learning analytics, and collaboration technologies influence teaching design, student motivation, and learning outcomes. Several studies evaluate the impact of tools such as eXeLearning, Blender, Google Classroom, Ardora, GenAI, LMS-based microlearning, and gamified leaderboards within VLEs and large-enrollment courses. Methodologies are predominantly empirical-analytical, quasi-experimental, longitudinal, and bibliometric, often with surveys or learning analytics to assess satisfaction, engagement, and performance. A recurring theme is building scalable, teacher-centered training and resource-management models (cloisters, learning objects, TPACK-aligned design) to improve digital competencies, course efficiency, and student success in engineering and design programs. The work collectively emphasizes ethical considerations, implementation challenges, and the need for ongoing faculty development to maximize technology’s positive educational impact. The studies also address post-pandemic shifts toward hybrid/homogeneous virtual classrooms, crowdlearning, and AI-assisted programming education, highlighting sustained benefits in motivation, learning efficiency, and collaboration. These findings underline the potential of structured, technology-enhanced pedagogies to transform STEM and design education while acknowledging practical constraints for educators and institutions.
