Recent research:
The collected publications explore how education systems, particularly in higher education and engineering, can be enhanced through experiential and tech-enabled pedagogies, with a strong emphasis on inclusion, apprenticeship, and responsible professional development. Across contexts from Ecuador and Bolivia to Salesian Polytechnic University, the work demonstrates that hands-on experimentation, inquiry-based and integrative projects, and the thoughtful use of educational technology (Moodle-based environments, gamification, XR, and learning analytics) improve conceptual understanding, practical skills, and professional readiness. Several studies underscore the need for cohesive university–industry partnerships, explicit support structures for students during internships, and civic engagement through community service. A recurring theme is the adaptation of curricula to post-pandemic realities, including virtual-to-face transitions and inverted-classroom models, while maintaining focus on ethical, environmental, and social responsibilities in engineering education. Overall, the impact centers on designing learning ecosystems that link theory to authentic practice, foster critical thinking, and prepare students for complex, collaborative professional settings.
