The collected works present a cohesive exploration of how digital media, education, and community practices shape information ecosystems, learning experiences, and cultural memory. Across studies, the researcher analyzes gamification as a narrative and motivational tool in journalism and education, with a focus on user-centered design, interface elements, and immediate feedback that foster engagement and audience loyalty. They propose transmedia and participatory approaches to teaching and communication, emphasizing inclusion, critical thinking, and technological competence within Don Bosco’s preventive framework. The work also surveys the evolution of digital native media in Ecuador, tracing growth, decline, and geographic distribution, highlighting sustainability challenges in contemporary media ecosystems. A complementary strand documents urban pedagogy through muralism and community memory, illustrating how art-based interventions can serve educational purposes and reinforce collective identity. Collectively, the research advances understanding of how interactive design, storytelling, community memory, and media ecosystems interact to enhance learning, participation, and cultural continuity in diverse contexts.
