Recent research:
This body of work centers on the design and evaluation of intelligent, user-centered educational and transportation technologies that enhance safety, social functioning, and learning outcomes. The driving assistant with a Multisensory Alert System (MAS) integrates V2V and V2I communications and adaptive multisensory warnings (visual, auditory, haptic) to align with individual driving profiles, aiming to improve driver attention and reduce risk. Parallelly, the research on autism supports the development and analysis of technological aids to bolster social interaction, performing an interdisciplinary mapping of 57 supports from the last decade to link psychological theories, technologies, and therapeutic models. In education, the studies advocate collaborative curriculum design and concept-map–driven knowledge structuring, emphasizing threshold concepts, learning outcomes, and robust evaluation tools. A formative emphasis appears across works: evaluation and feedback are integral to learning processes and system effectiveness rather than mere measurement, enabling adaptive adjustments in both teaching and user experiences. Collectively, these works advance integrated, theory-informed design, rigorous evaluation, and stakeholder-centered interfaces in transportation safety, autism support technology, and higher education pedagogy.
