The core focus integrates philosophy of education, teacher training, and educational governance with a strong emphasis on critical thinking, autonomy, and social justice. Methodologically, the work combines qualitative analyses, hermeneutic interpretation, bibliographic syntheses, and case studies of policy and classroom practice. The recurrence of themes such as ethics, pedagogy, learning strategies (including Problem-Based Learning and heutagogy), digital and virtual learning environments, and the impact of technology on curricula signals an aim to reimagine education as a humane, reflective, and participatory enterprise. The impact lies in articulating foundational ethical principles for educational management, proposing actionable strategies to foster critical thinking and self-directed learning, and linking philosophical inquiry to practical teaching and policy reform—particularly within Ecuador’s and Latin America’s educational contexts.
