Personal profile
Research Interests
Across a diverse portfolio of projects, the author advances data-driven decision making, AI-powered analysis, and user-centered intelligent systems to improve manufacturing quality, scientific information retrieval, healthcare and education. The work couples rigorous statistical and machine learning methods with practical validation in industrial and societal contexts. In materials/process quality, predictive models (polynomial, linear, and ML approaches) quantify paint viscosity as a function of temperature, enabling significant reductions in turnaround time. In information science and NLP, interactive web systems and NLP pipelines enable document similarity, dementia taxonomy, dementia-related language models, and internal search/recommender systems, demonstrating high accuracy (e.g., 93–100% Jaccard/Cosine performance) and actionable interfaces. The research extends to ethics and governance in AI, including ethnic identification from facial data, discrimination detection in text, and privacy-conscious ML applications. In education and technology, predictive models forecast student approval and optimize SME procurement, while NLP-driven tools support sign language translation, driving accessibility. For optimization and operations, linear/integer programming and Dijkstra-based routing are used to minimize costs, balance production lines, and reconfigure networks under stress. The collective impact is a cohesive profile of AI-enabled analytics, robust optimization, accessible AI-enabled tools, and evidence-based recommendations for industry, healthcare, and education.
