Research Interests

Recent research:
Across multiple publications, the researcher centers on education, pedagogy, inclusion, and the governance of educational systems, with a strong emphasis on the Salesian educational tradition, methodological rigor in research practice, and the social implications of policy and practice. The work collectively analyzes how educator practice shapes inclusion or exclusion, the application of Don Bosco's Preventive System in higher education, and the role of educational management in transforming institutions toward ethical, participatory, and quality-centered governance. It also surveys neoliberal influences on policy, the evolution of educational research methodologies (including ethnographic and action research approaches), and the broader sociocultural dynamics affecting youth, inclusion, and crisis contexts. The integrated narrative demonstrates a methodological shift toward qualitative, practice-based inquiry that positions teachers as researchers and foregrounds the social function of schooling in Ecuadorian and Salesian contexts, contributing to policy critique, teacher education reform, and inclusive educational practices in times of upheaval.
