La cartera de investigación abarca una amplia gama de aplicaciones tecnológicas orientadas a fomentar el desarrollo sostenible y la eficiencia operativa. Una parte significativa del trabajo se centra en la ingeniería eléctrica, específicamente en el diseño y optimización de sistemas de energía renovable para la electrificación rural. Esto incluye estudios de viabilidad técnico-económica, la integración de modelos de generación híbrida y la implementación de redes inteligentes para apoyar a comunidades desatendidas. Además, la investigación aborda la fiabilidad de los sistemas de potencia mediante la aplicación del estándar IEC 61850 para la automatización y coordinación de protecciones en subestaciones.
Más allá de los sistemas energéticos, la investigación explora la intersección entre la tecnología y las necesidades sociales. Esto incluye el desarrollo de entornos de realidad virtual (RV) para la capacitación en seguridad ocupacional, utilizando modelado 3D para mejorar la identificación de riesgos y la seguridad conductual en entornos industriales. Adicionalmente, el trabajo investiga la digitalización de procesos institucionales, examinando específicamente el papel de la inteligencia artificial y las plataformas automatizadas en la toma de decisiones judiciales y las implicaciones de la tecnología en la gestión legal. A través de estas diversas iniciativas, la investigación enfatiza el papel de las contribuciones académicas y tecnológicas en la promoción del crecimiento económico, la seguridad y la modernización institucional.
