Research Interests
The body of work synthesizes how higher education institutions can leverage technology-mediated teaching to improve student learning, engagement, and outcomes in large, first-year and engineering programs. Across studies, the author examines course and resource management in virtual environments (Moodle-based) and the implementation of homogeneous, scalable virtual classrooms to address administrative bottlenecks, faculty workload, and scheduling challenges. Using empirical-analytical, quasi-experimental, and longitudinal methods, the research identifies the benefits of a shared teaching-resource model, pre-existing significant learning resources, and iterative renewal of digital materials. Key findings indicate high student satisfaction and learning usefulness (approximately 90–94%), a substantial impact on reducing failure rates, and enhanced teacher creativity and workload relief through base courses and reusable resources. The work emphasizes preventive technology management, timely provisioning of materials, and data-driven adjustments to optimize learning experiences in high-enrollment, early-year programming and linear algebra courses. Overall, the studies contribute a practical framework for planning, deploying, and evaluating virtual classrooms that support inclusion, pedagogy, and educational technology integration in engineering education.
