Research Interests
The research focuses on the optimization, reliability, and resilience of modern electrical power systems, with a particular emphasis on active distribution networks and microgrids. A significant portion of the work involves the integration of renewable energy sources, such as solar and wind, and the deployment of distributed energy resources (DERs) including battery storage and electric vehicles. Methodologically, the research employs advanced multi-criteria decision-making frameworks, stochastic optimization, and machine learning algorithms to address challenges in network planning, fault diagnosis, and energy management. Key contributions include the development of weather-aware reliability assessment tools, real-time demand response strategies, and robust control schemes for power electronics and converters.
