Organization profile

In order to minimize and generate significant changes in the software production of SMEs in the city of Guayaquil, the Software Engineering and Knowledge Engineering Research Group (GIISIC) has been created.

The use of software in all areas is undeniable. Businesses, communications, the world of entertainment, government, social entities, etc., use software in different areas and for different purposes, therefore the idea of a world without software at present is something inconceivable. Guayaquil is a city that depends largely on small and medium enterprises, which is why the development of SMEs should be promoted, and for this purpose strategies should be established to help achieve this goal, process improvement is of great help to organizations, as it helps to detect errors and improve them, and remain in a continuous cycle of improvement. Although the growth of software development in our environment is booming, it can be said that there is still a big gap between the software production of SMEs and large software development companies.
