The State and Development Research Group (GIEDE) is presented as a convergence of diverse academic trajectories, mainly in the context of the Salesiana Polytechnic University and the Doctoral Program in Latin American Cultural Studies of the Simón Bolívar Andean University. Its mission focuses on contributing to a deep understanding of the relationships between the State, social movements and territories, addressing problems related to the structure of the State, public policies and social movements from critical and interdisciplinary approaches. In addition, the group maintains close relationships with networks and research centers both at the Latin American and international levels, which reinforces its commitment to the exchange of experiences and knowledge in the field of social sciences and humanities.
