Organization profile

The IDEIAGEOCA Research Group is dedicated to the development of spatial data infrastructures, integrating Geographic Information Systems, Artificial Intelligence and Applied Computing technologies. Its mission is to become a scientific reference in these fields, prioritizing the integration of hardware and software platforms to offer services and process data efficiently. The group, made up of teachers from the Quito Campus, addresses problems such as anthropic and natural risks, climate change and the lack of accessibility to geospatial information, which affects both decision-making and resource management in vulnerable areas. . The need for multidisciplinary research is highlighted that allows for a better understanding and management of current challenges in the geospatial field.
