Organization profile
The Research Group in Philosophy of Education (GIFE) presents itself as an academic community committed to the investigation of the educational phenomenon, seeking to establish harmonious relationships between education and other areas of philosophical and scientific thought. Its mission focuses on critical reflection on educational problems, promoting the production of articles, books and events that promote scientific dissemination. GIFE aspires to be a reference in educational philosophical research, recognized for its rigor and for integrating values of interculturality and inclusion. It arises as an initiative that unites teachers, students and graduates of the Salesian Polytechnic University of Ecuador, with the objective of rethinking the foundations of the educational fact and proposing alternatives that contribute to the socio-cognitive transformation of the country, emphasizing the human being as a be teachable by nature.
