Organization profile

The Local Development Research Group (GIDLO) focuses on the need to transform productive and social structures to achieve inclusive and sustainable development. Its mission is aligned with the proposals of the Economic Commission for Latin America (ECLAC), which advocates for structural change that addresses inequalities and promotes human dignity. In this context, the GIDLO emphasizes the importance of universities as knowledge-generating centers, capable of adapting and responding to social demands. Its vision involves active collaboration between academics, students, businesses and the community to foster asset creation and human development. Thus, the group seeks to contribute to the construction of a more equitable and sustainable society, integrating academic knowledge with social reality.
