Organization profile

The Inclusive Education Research Group (GEI) focuses on the promotion of inclusive education that guarantees access and permanence of the entire population in the national educational system, aligning with the national plan for good living and the new Education Law . Its mission is based on transforming schools into open spaces that address educational diversity, especially for groups in vulnerable conditions, such as ethnic minorities, people affected by catastrophic diseases, students with disabilities and those in situations of poverty or migration. To achieve quality education and more inclusive societies, the GEI emphasizes the need to implement policies and practices that promote the democratization of educational opportunities, seeking to address the causes and consequences of exclusion. The research is oriented towards the development of strategies and methodologies that address the diversity of students, prioritizing the most vulnerable populations and those at risk of exclusion.
