The "Education and Interculturality" Research Group (GIEI) of the Salesian Polytechnic University is dedicated to addressing institutional priorities in the areas of education, interculturality and youth, aligning with the regulatory framework and public policies of the country. From a Latin American perspective, the GIEI promotes critical research that seeks to generate knowledge from non-Western approaches, focusing on the socialization and education of indigenous peoples, the training of intercultural teachers, and the educational inclusion of indigenous youth in higher education. With a solid history of research and collaboration with academic networks such as Estrado and Clacso, the GIEI is linked to the research center in Social Sciences, Humanities and Education (CICSHE) of the UPS, which reinforces its commitment and relevance in the educational field.
