The Business, Economic and Social Management Research Group (GIEES) focuses on building an exhaustive database on the socioeconomic reality of the vulnerable population of Cuenca. Its mission lies in providing support for academic analysis and comparison of this information with the policies implemented by the public administration. In addition, the group, originated in the Business Administration program at UPS Cuenca headquarters, seeks to obtain significant data on the population's perception regarding essential services such as transportation, security, education and housing, with the aim of contributing to the understanding and improvement of the social and economic situation in the region.
