Organization profile

The mission of the Artificial Intelligence and Assistive Technologies Research Group (GI-IATA) is to develop research processes that promote the inclusion and improvement of people with disabilities, especially children, through various areas such as education, personal autonomy and the social awareness. It uses innovative technological tools based on ICT, artificial intelligence and embedded devices. Its vision focuses on becoming a national and international benchmark in the creation of inclusive alternatives, supported by innovative technologies and with a Salesian perspective, seeking to enhance the development of people with disabilities and be recognized for the human and professional quality of its employees. collaborators, as well as for their contribution to the communities most in need. In addition, the GI-IATA has implemented a new prototype development model for special education, based on the theory of meaningful learning.
