The Telecommunications and Telematics Research Group (GITEL) is dedicated to the generation and execution of research, development and innovation projects, establishing collaborations with public and private entities, as well as with universities at a national and international level, in order to position to the Salesian Polytechnic University as a prestigious institution in these fields. Its vision focuses on becoming an academic and scientific reference that offers significant technological advances for the region and the country, contributing to sustainable development. GITEL stands out for its capacity to carry out research and technology transfer activities in areas such as the design of telecommunications networks, telemedicine and home automation, among others, and its impact is evident in the dissemination of results in magazines and conferences, as well as in its commitment to projects that improve the quality of life of communities.
