The fundamental mission of the Research and Development Group in Simulation, Optimization and Decision Making (GID-STD) is to contribute to the socioeconomic and technological development of the country, focusing on research projects related to energy policies, engineering simulation and optimization of industrial processes. . Its vision is projected towards recognition by the National Secretariat of Science and Technology of Ecuador, highlighting its commitment to the generation of research that positively impacts the academic, scientific community and the productive sector. The group will align with the objectives of the National Plan for Good Living, seeking to articulate education and research with the generation of technical and management capabilities, as well as promoting the continuous improvement of productivity and competitiveness in the country.
