The mission of the Electronics and Telematics Research Group (GIETEC) is to use telematics technologies to develop telecommunications and information services that improve quality and coverage in areas with lower population density and economic limitations. Its vision is focused on generating methodologies and tools that optimize the management of resources in this sector, contributing to the social and economic development of the country through the adaptation and creation of technologies that address priority needs in telecommunications, health, education, environment and economy. Since its formalization in 2014, GIETEC has stood out for its academic production, achieving an average of ten indexed articles annually, and has a leading research laboratory in the country. In addition, it maintains collaborations with various national and international networks and research groups, strengthening its impact and reach in the telematics field.
Research lines:
- New generation telecommunications networks
