The Research Group in Ecology and Management of Natural Resources (GIERENA) is dedicated to promoting environmental research through the implementation of a culture of quality and excellence, focusing on the management of innovative projects and the dissemination of results that contribute to the development of environmental management. Its vision focuses on being a scientific collective that promotes environmental research in Ecuador, prioritizing the conservation of natural resources and seeking the common and supportive benefit of society. Composed of professionals from the Environmental Engineering Program at the Salesiana Polytechnic University, GIERENA aims to generate scientific information and establish institutional synergies to promote adequate development of environmental management, respecting the environment and ensuring the sustainability of natural resources.
