Organization profile

The Cognitive Sciences Research Group: Mind and Brain (GICCG) has the mission of establishing causal relationships between the brain and the mind, emphasizing that mental processes depend on brain structure. Its goal is to understand learning and its transformation through brain-neural connections, using computational simulations and empirical neurological research data. The group's vision focuses on the creation of an interdisciplinary space that integrates the study of the brain and cognitive sciences, in order to apply it in the educational field, thus founding a theory of learning based on brain evolution and individual development.

Research lines:

  1. Learning and logical knowledge
  2. Learning in relation to neuronal activity
  3. Study of the mental processes of the brain
  4. Epistemology and scientific theory
