Perfil de la organización
El Grupo de Investigación de Inteligencia Artificial y Tecnologías de Asistencia (GI-IATA) tiene como misión desarrollar procesos de investigación que favorezcan la inclusión y superación de personas con discapacidad, especialmente niños, a través de diversas áreas como la educación, la autonomía personal y la conciencia social. Utiliza herramientas tecnológicas innovadoras basadas en TICs, inteligencia artificial y dispositivos embebidos. Su visión se centra en convertirse en un referente a nivel nacional e internacional en la creación de alternativas inclusivas, sustentadas en tecnologías innovadoras y con una perspectiva salesiana, buscando potenciar el desarrollo de personas con discapacidad y ser reconocidos por la calidad humana y profesional de sus colaboradores, así como por su contribución a las comunidades más necesitadas. Además, el GI-IATA ha implementado un nuevo modelo de desarrollo de prototipos para la educación especial, fundamentado en la teoría del aprendizaje significativo.
