The Epidemiological and Clinical Research Group in Dentistry (GIECO) is dedicated to advancing knowledge of epidemiology and clinical dentistry through rigorous research and the application of innovative scientific methods. Its mission focuses on improving the oral health of the population, focusing on the study of factors that affect the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of dental diseases, with the aim of raising the quality of dental practice and the quality of life of people. . Regarding its vision, GIECO aspires to be a national reference in the generation of scientific evidence in its field, promoting oral health policies based on solid data and promoting interdisciplinary collaboration to face challenges in the prevention and control of dental diseases. In addition, it seeks to lead the training of researchers and professionals committed to applied research in dentistry, prioritizing the improvement of oral health and the well-being of communities.
