The Educational Innovation Group on Security, Food Sovereignty and Sustainability (GIE-SYSAS) is presented as a multidisciplinary team that integrates teachers, administrators, students and external staff, with the purpose of applying the principles of Innovation, Action and Responsibility (IAR). ) in the academic spaces of the Salesian Polytechnic University (UPS). Its mission focuses on promoting knowledge and capabilities that strengthen food security, nutrition and sustainability, while its vision is to become a national reference in the implementation of these principles towards society. The group's activities cover diagnoses, systematization of academic experiences, development of educational innovation and training projects, as well as the socialization of IAR principles through forums and seminars. The GIE-SYSAS focuses on diverse areas of knowledge, including science and technology, administration, life sciences, social sciences, education and humanities, prioritizing principles that promote food security, the conservation of natural resources and respect for heritage. cultural.
