Organization profile

The research group "Education and Interculturality" (GIEI) of the Salesian Polytechnic University seeks to respond, on the one hand, to the lines of research determined by institutional priorities, in this case: education, interculturality and youth. On the other hand, through its research, it is committed to the constitutional regulatory framework, the public policies in force in the country and the National Plan for Good Living 2013-2017.

From Latin America, the GIEI seeks to rethink, based on a critical research practice, the ways of producing knowledge and knowledge from a non-Western perspective, the practices of socialization and education in the peoples and nationalities of the indigenous world, the training of intercultural teachers, the educational inclusion of indigenous youth at the Higher Level.
