The Research Group in Ecology and Natural Resources Management (GIERENA), is a research team formed by professionals from the Environmental Engineering Department of the Salesian Polytechnic University who are concerned with the construction of bio-knowledge from scientific research, and seek to contribute to the valuation of biodiversity and the conservation of natural resources.

The Group aims to generate scientific information and promote institutional synergies through joint work, with a view to achieving appropriate development of environmental management, framed by respect for our environment in which we live, for which it will generate solutions based on science, so that our natural resources remain intact and productive.
