The Bioprocess Engineering Research Group (GIBIO), is formed by an interdisciplinary team that addresses the existing problems in the area of Biotechnology, dedicated to scientific and technological research, capable of proposing real solutions to environmental problems, committed to the social distribution of knowledge, conservation, recovery and sustainable use of natural resources. The group's mission is to carry out research in priority areas for the country, where different disciplines converge such as chemistry, physicochemistry, biology, engineering, resulting in bioengineering.
