The Active Learning Methodologies Research Group (GIMAA) is positioned as a leader in the creation and dissemination of innovative knowledge that transforms education through student-centered interdisciplinary approaches. Its mission is to promote pedagogical models that foster critical thinking, active participation, and global awareness of sustainability and climate change, thus contributing to the formation of individuals committed to social and ecological action. GIMAA addresses current educational challenges, especially in contexts such as Latin America and Ecuador, where traditional methods that limit the development of critical thinking and student autonomy predominate. The group promotes educational innovation to create dynamic and adaptive learning environments, aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals, which promote equity, inclusion, and educational quality, seeking to reduce inequalities and improve learning outcomes through personalization and attention to diversity of styles and abilities.
